Privacy Policy

For the TJ’s Travel AdBlue Tracker app. Last updated 2 October 2026.

Who this is for

The AdBlue Tracker is an internal tool for TJ's Travel drivers and office staff. There is no public sign-up: accounts are created by the office and the app is of no use without one.

What we collect

  • Your name and work email address, entered by the office when your account is created.
  • Sign-in codes, together with the IP address the request came from. Codes are stored hashed, expire after ten minutes and are deleted once used.
  • AdBlue records you create — the vehicle, the number of litres, the date and time, and any note you add.
  • The name of the device you sign in from, so the office can tell one handset from another and sign out a lost one.

What we do not collect

  • Your location. The app does not request location access and does not record where you are when you record a fill.
  • Your fingerprint or face. If you unlock the app with Face ID or a fingerprint, that check happens on your phone and the result never reaches us. We never receive the biometric data itself.
  • Anything for advertising. There is no advertising, no analytics tracking you across other apps, and nothing here is sold or shared for marketing.

Why we hold it

AdBlue records exist so the company can track consumption across the fleet, spot faults and meet its record-keeping obligations. Your name and email exist so you can sign in and so a record can be attributed to the person who made it. We rely on our legitimate interests in running and maintaining the fleet.

Who can see it

TJ's Travel office staff, through the admin panel. Drivers see only their own records. We do not share this data with anyone else, except the service providers who host the app and deliver our sign-in emails, who process it only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

[RETENTION PERIOD — e.g. “AdBlue records are kept for six years; your account is removed when you leave.”]

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact the office and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
